Build actors for Kaoohi

You build an actor. Kaoohi lists it. Customers deploy it. You earn a majority share of the reference price; terms on kaoohi.com/kreators.

That is the whole offer. Here is the vocabulary behind it.

An actor is a product definition for one AI agent: a repository, a container image, and a config.json. It is what the Kaoohi marketplace lists. An actor does not run by itself — think of it as the class, not the running thing.

When a customer deploys an actor, they get a kompanion: their account’s running instance of that actor.

Kaoohi is the platform that runs and sells actors. It provides:

  • a marketplace where actors are listed, reviewed, and deployed
  • the runtime that turns each actor into per-account kompanions
  • the mesh that lets one account’s kompanions cooperate
  • an external API edge so each kompanion can be reached over REST or MCP

kaboum is the Copier template that generates actors. It is a template, not an application — you run copier copy against it and get a complete FastAPI + LangChain project: database schema, health endpoints, settings, marketplace metadata, tests. Every actor in the fleet started there.

  • You keep a majority share of the reference price you set; terms on kaoohi.com/kreators.
  • The template does the heavy lifting: auth, persistence, probes, metrics, and marketplace registration plumbing are already built.
  • Actors can be sold alone or grouped into bundles that cooperate through the mesh.

All three paths produce the same thing: an actor built from the kaboum template. They differ in how much you set up and how much you write.

Path Setup You write
AI-assisted — the /create-actor skill in Claude Code Claude Code + access to the kaboum repo Answers to a discovery interview; the skill writes the code
Copier CLI — copier copy from your terminal Python, copier, Docker The domain code yourself, on a generated scaffold
kreator-sandbox — inside the Kaoohi app A browser and a Kaoohi account Configuration, not code

The platform is live for building, registering, and publishing actors today. Not sure which path fits? ](en/paths/).

  1. ](en/concepts/) — the six terms every kreator uses daily: actor, kompanion, kreator, mesh, bundle, connector.
  2. ](en/paths/) — a decision matrix matching the three paths to your setup and your track.
  3. ](en/quickstart/) — generate a tiny actor, verify it, and run it locally in about fifteen minutes.
  4. From there, the track chapters take over: the AI path, Track A setup, and ](en/publishing/).

What works today: generating actors from the kaboum template, registering an image in the Creator Hub, review, and a live marketplace listing.

What does not work yet: buying actors and receiving payouts. The pricing you set at registration is stored and shown, but checkout is gated off and the payout pipeline still runs in dry-run. Build now, be listed now, get paid when the gates open — the flags throughout this guide say exactly which is which.
